Every paid plan includes all checks. Verifications beyond the included quota are billed per verification (metered). Prices exclude VAT. See the pricing page.

:::info Limits are enforced per API key The plan belongs to your account; every API key you create inherits its limits. Hitting a limit returns 402 (plan/quota) or 429 (rate). :::

Creating an account and API key

1. Sign up at portal.valydar.com/signup.
2. Verify your email.
3. Create an API key from the dashboard. Free and certified-NGO accounts do not need a payment method. Paid plans (Pro/Business) require one before keys can be created.

Certified NGOs

Certified nonprofits get the Business tier free — unlimited verifications, 1,000 requests/minute, and all checks. Email hello@valydar.com with proof of registration; once certified, the account is moved to the ngo plan and no card is needed. Certification is recorded in the admin audit trail (certifier, timestamp, and proof note).

Subscribing to Pro

From the pricing page, click Upgrade to Pro — you are sent to Stripe Checkout. After payment your account plan becomes pro and paid features are enabled.

Usage

Each verification run (POST /verifications) is one billable event. Fetch your current usage and limits:

Metered overage is reported to Stripe and appears on your monthly invoice.

Invoices & receipts

Billing runs through Stripe. Invoices and receipts are emailed after each billing cycle and are available in the Stripe customer portal.

Changing or cancelling

Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from the dashboard — changes apply from your next billing cycle. Cancelling returns the account to the Free plan (limits and paid features revert).
